Tooling

Tooling is essential in ANiMA, as all skilling actions require specific tools.

There are over types of 20 tools in ANiMA. Generally, each tool can be upgraded six times via smithing and fletching.

There is a seventh emberstone upgrade, which is crafted by infusing arcane power into the Solari predecessor tool, but this requires additional steps and is reserved for late-game activities.

Note that not all tools can be crafted, and several must be acquired via questing. This is particularly true for farming, cooking, apothecary, and a few others.

You can gain a competitive edge by investing time and resources into upgrading your tools, as better tools will significantly increase the efficiency of your skilling.

Tools can be equipped in the tool belt, allowing your character to flip between them automatically when training a skill. While you can keep as many tools as you desire in your tool belt, potentially opening up needed inventory slots and making skilling less tedious, you risk losing everything if you die.
