# Customization

*ANiMA* offers many ways to personalize and customize your character beyond standard *character* *creation*. However, please note that many of these features will be limited in earlier releases.&#x20;

**Character Creation Menu**

We want you to be able to create a character that genuinely resonates with your personal style and preferences. As such, we plan to devote considerable resources and time to enhancing the *character* *creation* *menu* and its optionality.&#x20;

**Dye**

Players unlock the ability to *dye* most types of *gear* at various *crafting* levels, allowing you to personalize and stand out with unique color combinations.&#x20;

*ANiMA* has eight different *dyes*, each requiring unique *ingredients* found throughout *Zienna*. This encourages players to explore the world, interact with and find skilled *crafters*, or visit the *Grand Exchange* to purchase *dyed gear*.&#x20;

The system is amplified further by the ability to *redye* *gear* infinitely (for a fee), enhancing customization while promoting the in-game economy and social interactions.&#x20;

**Astrology**&#x20;

*Astrology* is one of the three *esoteric* skills. It's used to comprehend cosmic forces by studying the stars to reveal *zodiacs* and *astral ciphers*. *Astrology* injects life into the simulated-reality concept, as you can only observe the *stars* at night, and each new month brings new *modifiers* (via *zodiacs*).

There are twelve *constellations*, evenly divided across 12 *zodiac* signs, visible in the night skies of *Zienna*. These comprise a 365-day year that aligns with *Earth* and your respective time zone.&#x20;

During *character creation*, players choose which *zodiac* sign they feel most connected to. Based on *zodiac* traits, the game provides an immediate and permanent buff and an additional temporary buff when that *sign* is visible in the skies of Zienna. This feature adds a sense of realism and dynamism to the game and encourages players to track in-game time like they would in real life.

And, yes, because you asked nicely, we are training an AI on our *lore* to provide customized daily horoscopes and dynamic *questing*. This, however, is not an immediate priority for us.&#x20;

**Cosmetics**&#x20;

Players can create *cosmetics* and other *bind-on-pickup wares* to showcase their unique styles and preferences.

*Bind-on-pickup wares* are non-tradable items earned by completing achievements.&#x20;

At certain *mastery* levels, players unlock a variety of increasingly rare and hard-to-get *capes*, which they can display to show their dedication to a craft. Similarly, players unlock various *boots* and *gloves* at specific skill levels. *Mastery* *capes*, *skilling* *boots*, and *gloves* are prime examples of *bind-on-pickup rewards*.&#x20;

Additionally, extremely rare *collectibles*, like *pets*, are awarded at *max level*, while various *titles* are granted at different progression milestones.&#x20;
